Hela skapelsens lovprisning—Swedish for “a praise of all creation”—is a piece written within a short period of time while I was still in university for an easter concert, and was premiered in the Olaus Petri church in Örebro, Sweden. The text is an adapted version of an excerpt from the “Song of the Three Holy Children”.
Hela skapelsens lovprisning is, in fact, the very first choral piece I’ve ever written. Having had the opportunity to listen to quite a bit of choral music during my years, the task was not daunting, but felt rather familiar despite my total lack of relevant experience. This clearly helped, as the piece came together very quickly, which was very convenient as I was working on several projects with upcoming deadlines at that time.
The quality of the recording is unfortunately somewhat limited, but you’ll still get to enjoy the nice ambience of the sizable locale that is Olaus Petri church; the cathedral style building made of limestone provides a nice, long, natural reverb.
Enjoy!
